Bio:
I first came to Williston in the fall of 1996 as a post-graduate and returned to campus in the fall of 2011 where I joined the English Department. I currently teach American Lit in the 11th grade and 9th grade English and am a member of the Freshman Program. In 2017, my colleague Will Eberle and I started “Boys to Men,” a group for the young men on campus where we help foster positive discussion and thinking about masculinity in the 21st Century. In addition, I am an assistant coach for boys varsity hockey team and an assistant coach for the boys JV lacrosse team. I live in John Hazen White House with my wife Lindsay and our three kids, Ryan, Will, and Taylor.
Education:
Ithaca College, BA; English Boston College M.Ed; English Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College, MA English
Fun fact:
After college, I completed a semester at NOLS in the Rocky Mountains, where I learned how to telemark ski and winter camp in igloos. The irony is that I had neither skied nor camped. Ever.
