Bio:
Jayson is a Hudson Valley New York native that works in our Admissions Team as well as the Dean’s DEIB office. Most recently, Jayson worked at Archbishop Stepinac High School (White Plains, NY) where he taught Anatomy, Exercise Science, and Business Leadership while also coaching with the Football Team. Prior to Stepinac, Jayson coached football at Amherst College (Amherst, MA) and St. Lawrence University (Canton, NY). Jayson was also a 4-year starting Linebacker for the St. Lawrence Saints Football team from 2013-2016.
Education:
Jayson holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from St. Lawrence University and a BA in Communication Arts. While at St. Lawrence, Jayson served as the President of Men In Color, a group of men of all different racial and social economic backgrounds working to create a safe space to talk about living in a world where race matters.
Fun fact:
I am Jamaican and Puerto Rican! I also coached against my brother in a collegiate football game. He was playing for Hamilton when I was coaching for Amherst.
