Jonas Auguste ’27 – Varsity Baseball
Jonas had an outstanding varsity debut on Friday against Austin Prep. He went 2-2 with a walk and a run. He also made several great catches in left field. Jonas worked extremely hard in the offseason to put himself into a position to be a strong varsity contributor for the Wildcats this season.
Jackson Miller ’25 – Boys Varsity Tennis
Jackson began prepping for the tennis season four months ago, spending countless hours in AP with Coach Lapan. Tennis is a sport where our most important gains can be made in the off-season since the season itself is so short — Jackson has been a role model for the Wildcats in this way. In the winter months, Jackson suggested and organized an off-campus indoor practice session for players and has been pulling coaches and captains aside every practice with suggestions about drills, adjustments, and lineups. Having a Senior leader like Jackson with big individual and team goals has set a professional, focused tone for the team.
Isabel Sorkin-Camacho ’26 – Girls Varsity Tennis
Isabel excelled as a player both on and off the court for the Wildcats this past week. Trying out for varsity, Isabel exhibited all the skills necessary to shine as a player on this team. Coming into the season with solid technique on her strokes and her serve, Isabel showed the most potential on the doubles court. As a teammate, she was supportive and communicative with her partners, regardless of who her teammate was. Isabel celebrated with impressive shots and uplifted her teammates every step of way.
Riley Stocker ’27 – Girls Varsity Lacrosse
Riley has stepped up as a leading player and voice on the defensive end of the field for the Wildcats. Her tireless work ethic and competitiveness sets a tone by example, and these attributes were on display in contests against Taft and Middlesex last week. Midway through the first quarter of our Taft contest, Riley took on the responsibility of covering their top offensive player, a standout who is committed to play at the Naval Academy. Riley shut her down to help the Wildcats earn the 11-8 victory. She had a similar gritty defensive effort in our loss to Middlesex, playing great 1v1 defense while sparking numerous transition chances by carrying the ball into our offensive end. Riley willingly takes on every challenge presented to her with a positive mindset, and she is a great example of how athletes should compete.
Rowan Lonergan ’27 – Boys Varsity Lacrosse
Rowan had a great week for the boys’ varsity lacrosse program. He finished the week with six goals and two assists in two games played. Rowan does a lot more for the team than produce points, he is a leader on and off the field and consistently holds his teammates accountable to the standards of the Wildcat lacrosse program. We look forward to watching Rowan the rest of the season!
