;

During the 2024 end-of-year ceremonies, the Athletic Department held a fourth college athletic commitment ceremony underneath the Commencement tent. Six student-athletes were honored during the ceremony. Director of Athletics Mark Conroy spoke about each athlete before they were honored. Below are his remarks from the event.

Welcome to this late Spring Athletic College Commitment Ceremony

Opportunity to recognize our student athletes We are proud of all of them!

We have 6 students to recognize. My hope is to move the ceremony along pretty quickly. When I read your names please come forward. We will take four photos of each of you—one solo, one with your families, one with coaches and finally one with your teammates/friends.  We will also take a group photo at the end of all of you. Here we go.

Ultimate

Three year member of our cross country and track and field team. He captained both teams this spring while being named All NEPSAC honorable mention in XC and All NEPSAC in the 800 in track and field. He is headed up north to Montreal to run for the McGill University Martlets. Can I ask Jeremy Dube to come forward?

Four year member of our swimming and water polo teams. She earned All NEPSAC honors in swimming the past two years while captaining our teams. She also captained and was named All NEPSAC this spring for our three time NEPSAC champion water polo team. She is headed out to Oberlin, Ohio, to swim for the Albino Squirrels. Could I ask Andie Kinstle to come forward!

Track and Field

A cross country and track athlete who has been at Williston for 6 years playing a major role in both programs. In the fall he was an All NEPSAC honorable mention selection on our undefeated team and in the spring he earned All NEPSAC in the 800. He is headed up to Brunswick, Maine, to compete for the Bowdoin College Polar Bears in the NESCAC conference. Could I ask Calvin Klumpp to come forward!

The next young man I want to recognize has been with us for three years and a significant contributor to our football program on defense. He is headed up to Schenectady, New York, to join teammate Cristhian Difo playing for the Union College Garnett Charges. Can I ask Connor Nizolek to come forward!

Basketball

The last young man I want to recognize has been with us for two years and a big part of the success of our varsity basketball team. He will be headed to Boston to play for the Suffolk University Rams that compete in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Could I ask Nadim Smaira to come forward!
