Gathered in the Phillips Stevens Chapel on February 10, 2025, the Williston Northampton School community celebrated 26 seniors and postgraduates for their collegiate athletic commitments. As one of the largest classes in school history, the class of 2025 features student-athletes from across the spectrum, and brought all together, Monday’s event showcased the incredible talent and commitment of this special group. The 26 join their classmates that we celebrated this past fall, and the school will host one more commitment ceremony in the spring.
You can view pictures of the night on our Flickr gallery. Below are the remarks made by Director of Athletics Jade Morris during the ceremony.
Welcome to the Winter Athletic College Commitment Ceremony. For those I haven’t had the chance to meet yet, my name is Jade Morris, and I have the privilege of serving as the Director of Athletics here at Williston.
Tonight, we celebrate a truly historic moment for our athletic program. This senior class is one of the largest we’ve ever had, and with it, we are witnessing an unprecedented number of student-athletes committing to play at the collegiate level. We celebrate twenty-six members of this class who have earned the opportunity to continue their athletic careers in Divisions 1, 2, and 3—a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and love for their sport.
The commitment you are making tonight is not just about a signature on a page—it’s about years of hard work, sacrifices, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. This accomplishment belongs to you, but it is also shared by those who have supported you along the way.
Look around at your teammates, your coaches, your teachers, your advisors, your friends—and especially your families. Before we begin, take a moment to find them in the crowd, make eye contact, and let them know just how much their belief in you has meant.
Tonight, we will recognize each of you individually. When your name is called, please come up to sign, we will take a photo of you, your family, and teammates to mark this incredible milestone.
